Christmas is getting close real fast! Today is the first advent Sunday of 2014. I decided to bake (two) gingerbread advent wreaths this year. I also tried to make a little candle stand. You can see them in the photo below! 🙂
As some of you probably know, my boyfriend’s moved in into a new appartment a few weeks ago. He keeps complaining that it’s not cozy enough and so I decided to help him to get settled in at least a little bit. This is a crocheted doily I made for his table, following this youtube tutorial. It’s not perfect, but here’s how it turned out. 🙂

My boyfriend took this picture this summer and he always laughs about it and says that it’s unbelievable how that one day became the best day of the summer, even if we didn’t really do anything. Here’s the story:
I don’t remember what day it was, but Benjam came home from work one afternoon. It was a quite cold, rainy and windy summer day. Everyday in the summer we went outside at least for a while, biking, walking or just drove to a random place. That day he thought we could go to the beach. It was raining a bit, and blowing a lot and so the waves were pretty big. Plus a beautiful sunset. I don’t know why, but there on the rainy day with water even in my shoes, hugged by my boyfriend, I named that day the best day of the summer.
Enjoy simple things in life. Because those are often the ones you’ll remember the most!
Have a great week!
This morning I got a bit irritated at my hair because they were just everywhere. And later when I got bored I thought: Why not make a headband? This one took me about 20 minutes to make.
I chained 55 stiches (you just have to try it around your head), slip stiched to the first stich, chained the same number of stiches (55) again, slip stiched to the same stich as first time and then I found a Crochet flower tutorial, followed it, and then sewed the flower on the headband.
I’m not a professional but it sure holds my hair in place. What do you think? 🙂
