Spring took over

Hello everyone,

I haven’t been posting lately, since school got pretty busy and my graduation period started two weeks ago. But after all is done I want to get back to blogging, maybe change things up a little bit. But for now I’ll leave you with a few photos I took today and then I’m off for yet more studying!

I hope you’re all having a great day!

Take a picture of one thing, person, place or specific moment that makes you feel grateful. Share it with
your social network.

My boyfriend took this picture this summer and he always laughs about it and says that it’s unbelievable how that one day became the best day of the summer, even if we didn’t really do anything. Here’s the story:

I don’t remember what day it was, but Benjam came home from work one afternoon. It was a quite cold, rainy and windy summer day. Everyday in the summer we went outside at least for a while, biking, walking or just drove to a random place. That day he thought we could go to the beach. It was raining a bit, and blowing a lot and so the waves were pretty big. Plus a beautiful sunset. I don’t know why, but there on the rainy day with water even in my shoes, hugged by my boyfriend, I named that day the best day of the summer.

Enjoy simple things in life. Because those are often the ones you’ll remember the most!

Have a great week!

”I really regret that run.” – Said no one. Ever.

So since I’ve come to Finland in the beginning of July I’ve been talking about that I will start going running. I’ve never really been running much, only at school on P.E. classes and the last time we’ve went with school was almost two years ago when we ran around 2 km.

Yesterday though, Benjam suggested we could go biking. So I said: ”OK, you can bike and I will run.” So we went. He always rode ahead of me and then waited somewhere. We ended up going 8 km to some fishing harbor (Fiskehamn), which means we also had to go back. So I ran/walked 16 km…

I feel really good about it but my body doesn’t seem to agree. My muscles are really sore. 😀 But I’m planning to go at least for a longer walk today again (maybe 3 km or something).

Fäboda - sunsetAs many of you know, I’m spending my summer holidays in Finland. My boyfriend is working and I, since I didn’t get a job, feel a bit like Rapunzel in Tangled when she was singing the When will my life begin song 😀 I’ve already read more than five books, almost finished a 1000-piece puzzle and spent hours on the computer. Quite boring, right?

But in the evenings and weekends we’re usually busy. There always is something to do. We meet people, go biking or walking, but the best thing so far was going to the beach. I would never believe it can get up to 30°C in Finland! 😀 And an another highlight of the summer was surely Power Park, which is an amusement park with a cool wooden roller-coaster.

To be at least a bit serious in this post, Finland is a really beautiful country! 🙂
